6 projects received a donation from the Guitars Support Children Foundation in 2024. The donation will help them to continue and expand the good work for children.See below for the supported projects.

The Guitars Support Children Foundation has distributed funds for 2024 to the following projects working for the benefit of children, Euro 5000,- in total:

Stichting Meraih Bintang, Indonesië  Donation of 1000,- Euro

The board of the Meraih Bintang Foundation believes that all children in Pangandaran should have the opportunity to receive an education so that they have a better future perspective.
The objective of our foundation is to support underprivileged children and youth in the district of Pangandaran in their livelihood and education.

Stichting Isai Ma(i)yam Foundation, India   Donatie van 1000,- Euro

The Isai Ma(i)yam Foundation aims to dramatically improve the living conditions of children and youth in India. Before they came to us, they lived in hopeless poverty. They often received no education, were forced to work, had insufficient food and sometimes roamed the streets. Often they are missing one or both parents and the home situation is unsafe due to abuse (alcohol or drug abuse) or otherwise problematic.
We do not abandon these children to their fate. Therefore, we create a healthy and vital living environment in which they “heal” each other and learn to take responsibility for themselves and others. This is how they can eventually stand on their own two feet and provide for themselves. We hope that with all the knowledge and skills gained, they will in turn be a support to close family members, neighbors and others.

Warchild  (active in 16 countries)  Donation of 1000,-

Around the world, hundreds of millions of children are living with the effects of war and conflict. Separated from their homes, schools and loved ones, many are overwhelmed by manifestations of distress.
We may never be able to take away all the pain that comes with war. But we can create space where children can heal. Through our creative and evidence-based approach, we work exclusively to enhance the innate resilience of children and their communities.
War Child works with children affected by violence and armed conflict in 16 countries around the world - meeting urgent needs wherever we are needed.

Save the Children, active in many countries   Donation of 1000,- Euro

Children’s lives, safety, well-being, and futures are under attack in an increasingly dangerous and unequal world.
Nearly  300 million people – or 1 in 27 people – are expected to need  humanitarian assistance this year. We will aim to assist 15.9 million  children across 46 countries in response to the most significant threat  to children’s rights in recent memory.
With  more than 25,000 dedicated staff across more than 110 countries, we  respond rapidly to humanitarian emergencies, deliver innovative  development programmes, and ensure children's voices are heard through  our advocacy and campaigning to build a better future for and with  children.

Stichting Shams-Rumi, Netherlands   Donation of 500,-  Euro

Journalist and filmmaker Sinan Can has been making penetrating documentaries in (post-) war zones for years. In these he shows a very personal picture of the daily living conditions, and each time he is struck by all the suffering he encounters there. Especially the suffering of children, who have very little chance of a decent, honest and loving existence. Sinan takes the fate of these children personally, and in addition to telling their story, he would like to be able to help them in a practical sense.
In recent years he has already realized several, small-scale projects, thanks in part to generous donations from viewers. With the Shams-Rumi foundation, Sinan has now created the opportunity to make that help more structural, and to offer children in (post-) war zones a more dignified and loving life.
The projects for which the Shams-Rumi Foundation is working are often linked to Sinan's travels, but not always. There is also room for projects in other countries and areas where children are struggling, where they have been forgotten or where they have remained invisible at all.

Kibet4Kids Foundation, Kenia   Donation of 500,-

Since 2013, Kibet4Kids has worked tirelessly to improve  the lives of Kenyan children, in areas where it matters most. Hundreds  of children are enrolled at the free-of-charge public primary schools  that are built and supported by Kibet4Kids. All our schools provide  quality education in impoverished areas. They are owned by the  community, and the staff are being paid by the Kenyan government.
